# Arriving in Kho Phi Phi

We took a 2 hour ferry ride yesterday over to the island of Koh Phi Phi, a very cool island where they shot the movie "The Beach", there are no cars, u get everywhere by walking or taking a water taxi and the water taxis are these long wooden boats where the propeller in the back sticks out 10 feet from the stern of the boat on this pole so they can maneuver in shallow water. There were 2 huge ferries that arrived at the same time yesterday with us there must have been 50 or more tourist on each boat. There are cool streets lined with all kinds of shops and restaurants and bars that go in every direction and are lit up at night. Like most places in Thailand most people only come out at night because of the heat during the day. There are these beach bars, one had a huge pool and one has a mechanical bull where u can only ride it if u are buck naked, male or female. They have fire shows and drink specials, this is a great island. We are working our way to Malaysia and are going to spend the last few weeks we have on our visa on 2 other islands down the line toward Malaysia. I am going to miss Thailand, the land of smiles and excellent cheap food, but I will be back, thats for sure. Our journey will continue thru Malaysia to Singapore and from there we take a ferry to Indonesia and Bali. Nothings solid yet but we have been thinking about heading to the Philippines from Bali, we have been getting some great feedback from there and need to check it out. How bad could it be, a bunch of islands with palm trees, beautiful turquoise water and cheap living and friendly young girls. Where do i sign up?
